Description

M104, a spiral galaxy, is commonly known as the Sombrero Galaxy due to its unique shape.  It's found in the constellation of Virgo, and is about 31 million light years away and about 49,000 light years across. It is one of the most massive galaxies in the Virgo galaxy cluster weighing in at over 800 billion times the mass of our Sun.
